What does it mean to be an ethical democratic citizen?
What does it mean to be an ethical democratic citizen? There are three main things that I think you need to do to be an ethical democratic citizen. This would be someone that votes, obeys the laws, works hard, and doesn’t complain.
I think an ethical democratic citizen needs to vote. If you don’t vote than you’re not doing any good for the rest of the country. If you vote than that shows that you care and are doing your part as a citizen. If you don’t vote than you have no right to complain about what the government is doing.
An ethical democratic citizen needs to obey the laws. If you obey the laws than your doing the right thing and you’re also making things easier for the government. Another good thing that comes from obeying the laws is you are setting a good example and can serve as a role model for others.
I also believe that an ethical democratic citizen needs to be hard working. They need too be hard working so they can provide for themselves and their family and don’t have to live off the state. And if you’re hard working you can pay your taxes and support the country with whatever it is that they use our money for.
In conclusion I think the there are three things that you have to do be be an ethical democratic citizen. And that is vote, work hard, and obey the laws that are set by the government.
